HOW FAR IS OVERLAKE FROM SALT LAKE CITY AND HOW DO I GET THERE?
Overlake is located approximately 30-35 minutes from Salt Lake City. Take I-80 West to Exit 99. Then take SR36 for approximately 10 miles and take a right at 2000 N. Look for the Overlake sign on the west side of the road, you can’t miss it.

Youi can visit the websites of some of the Overlake builders by visiting the Builders section of this website. Alternatively, visit the Overlake Information Center located at Jacks Market, 1981 N Berra Blvd., Tooele. You can pick up a Jacks Gazette at the Information Center. Inside the Jacks Gazette is a map which lists the location of all the builder’s models in Overlake. Jacks Gazette also has other information about living in Overlake.

WHAT MAKES OVERLAKE DIFFERENT THAN A TYPICAL SUBDIVISION?
Overlake is not just a neighborhood, it’s a traditional community reminiscent of those found in the 1920’s. Every consideration for safety and unity is made as Overlake is developed. All of the streets are planned using the latest research on traffic calming. The streets are laid out in a circular formation that lends itself to decreased driving speeds.

Overlake prides itself on being a walkable community. It’s first community offers Jack’s Market, the neighborhood store that is a short walk from anywhere in Overlake and you don’t have to cross any major intersections to get there. Overlake is the type of community where you can send your kids down to the store to pick up some last minute items for dinner without worrying about their safety.

There are many community parks that provide safe places for children to play. The homes in Overlake are built with front porches that provide a nice place to relax and added eyes on the street watching over the neighborhood. The parks are surrounded by homes which face them adding one more dimension of security.

Overlake is a place where neighbors know each other and watch out for one another. The sense of security and community lets you know that you are home.

OVERLAKE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION:
Overlake has its own Homeowners Association. The purpose of the Association is to promote and maintain the peaceful and attractive character of residences and neighborhoods in the Overlake community. The mission is to protect and promote property values by enforcing the CC&R requirements and providing services to members of the Association.

Once you purchase a lot in Overlake, you automatically have a membership. One membership per lot with dues currently at $24.00 per year. The Association meets once a year to elect Officers and Board of Directors. Announcements are mailed to each homeowner.

NORTH TOOELE CITY SPECIAL SERVICE DISTRICT:
The North Tooele City Special Service District (NTCSSD) was created to maintain the special features found in Overlake which you do not find in other Tooele city neighborhoods. The NTCSSD is made up of one Tooele City Council person and seven representatives of the Overlake community.

The types of areas which the NTCSSD maintains includes park strips, street lights, traffic signs, streets signs, and landscaped medians.

Commercial and undeveloped property is assessed at full value. Residential properties receive a 45% reduction in assessment. The current assessment is .00108 cents per taxable dollar of property value. The assessments are added to your property taxes and collected by Tooele County.
